Trivia & History

The tour closed prematurely during the run at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit when Mary Martin was stricken with diverticulitis during the run and had to be hospitalized. The run at the Fisher was scheduled to continue till March 8, but the final performance was on Friday, February 21. The next engagement, in Columbus, Ohio, and the entire rest of the tour was canceled.
