This recording was made at Valley Forge Music Fair. The pit pianist for the tour, Larry Blank (then working as Lawrence J. Blank), conducted the performance. William Cox, the usual conductor, took over Blank's usual spot as first pianist. For the numbers that required two pianists, Blank and Cox both played (as usual at other performances).
