Trivia & History

On the original issue only the mono version contains the overture. As with other early stereo recordings it was not technically possible to fit as many minutes per side on a stereo LP as it was on a mono, so there were times when one band had to be eliminated.'Men' will also be found on 'Hit Songs from Baker Street and Other Broadway Musicals', MGM E (M)/SE (S) 4293.
