This production was booked for an extended run. It was produced not by the usual Music Fair team of Lee Guber and Shelly Gross, but by the Off-Broadway producers of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown — Arthur Whitelaw and Gene Persson.
Like the other theatres in the Music Fair circuit, the Shady Grove Music Fair was usually an in-the-round venue seating more than 2,000. For this production, it was transformed into a proscenium house seating under 1,000.
