Cast

The production was originally scheduled to open on Dec. 17, 1988, but it was delayed as many changes were made during preivews. These included:

Two days after previews started, Carmen Capalbo was fired or resigned as director, eventually being replaced by Mitchell Maxwell, one of the producers. Later still, John Hirsch joined the production as an uncredited director / consultant. 

Ron Holgate as David Malter was replaced by Gerald Hiken.

An important role — Reuven Malter in 1988, narrating the story — was eliminated. Eugene Troobnick played the role.

At one point, previews were suspended while changes were made.
