Trivia & History

This Acting Company production was presented in the repertory with The Three Sisters, Measure for Measure, Scapin, and Next Time I'll Sing to You. It was a limited engagement.

The Beggar's Opera played previews on Friday evening, December 21, 1973, and a matinee the next day. It opened at the evening the next day, and it played its final performance on the evening of December 31. The repertory season continued at the Billy Rose through January 11, 1974, which is sometimes incorrectly given as the closing date of the production of The Beggar's Opera.

The playbill did not list song titles for this production.
