Based on the MGM film of the same name.

Synopsis

In newly liberated Paris, GI-turned-painter Jerry Mulligan falls for ballerina Lise Dassin, who is bound by obligations to the well-born Henri Baurel. Composer Adam Hochberg and patron Milo Davenport complete a quartet of allies and rivals as rehearsals, gallery dreams, and a new ballet draw them together. Ambition clashes with loyalty until a premiere forces choices: masks drop, love claims its partners, and the city’s promise of reinvention becomes real through music, dance, and Gershwin’s sweeping themes.
