Based on the novel Lilies of the Field by William E. Barrett.

In the New Mexico desert, a traveling handyman encounters a determined group of German nuns who dream of building a chapel. Though initially reluctant, he is gradually persuaded by their faith and persistence. As their work progresses, mutual respect grows, bridging cultural differences. The completed chapel becomes a symbol of cooperation, dedication, and the quiet power of shared purpose.
