Worried that their officer husbands are philandering, Maggie Watson, Nancy Collister, and Cornelia Pigeon hire showgirls Winnie Potter, Jean, and Muriel to lead the men astray. Their scheme snags bashful soldier Jerry Walker, who truly falls for Winnie. As flirtations, jealous fits, and mixed signals mount, engagements shift and alliances wobble until the conspirators confront their own foibles and—after comic reckonings—romance realigns on more honest terms.
