Given the lack of a Singing Ensemble for the production, it seems likely that members of the Dancing Ensemble did also sing in the numbers that featured ensemble singing as it sounds like a fairly large ensemble sings at some points. We therefore list the Dancing Ensemble as part of this recording's cast.
The recording has a complete version of the overture, which was slightly cut for the original Broadway cast recording, and the dance music for "Grant Avenue," which was not on the Broadway recording. "Grant Avenue" runs 4:30 on this recording, as opposed to 2:30 on the Broadway recording.
In addition, the CD release on West End Angel has dance music in "Sunday" that had never been issued previously. On the CD, the number runs 5:28. The Broadway recording has considerably less of the dance music, running 4:25.
This recording, however, does not include the entr'acte (an abridged version was on the Broadway recording) nor the "Wedding Parade" (heard on the Broadway recording).
The cast list in the booklet for the West End Angel CD issue lists a performed named Su China among the members of the Dancing Ensemble, but the correct name is Su Chin.
