"That's Your Funeral" was not in the show when this recording was made in Los Angeles during the pre-Broadway tour. By the time the show opened on Broadway, this song was reinstated, although possibly not till performances started in New York.
The original numbers assigned to this show were LOC (M)/LSO (S)-1075 but were changed when the double cover packaging was decided upon.
Michael Goodman is heard as The Artful Dodger on this recording, which was recorded early during the long pre-Broadway tryout. By the time the production reached Broadway, a replacement Artful Dodger from the London production, Davy Jones, was playing the role. Also during the tryout (and well after the recording was made), Barry Humphries had replaced Frederic Warriner was replaced as Mr. Sowerberry. Humphries had played the role in the original London cast.
Warriner is not heard on the recording as the song "That's Your Funeral" was not in the show when this recording was made.
As originally issued on LP, "I'd Do Anything" was placed way out of show order. It was on Side 2, between "Reviewing the Situatio" and the reprise of "As Long As He Needs Me."
