Even by the standards of the frequent cast changes in many of the roles in this production, Mrs. Peachum seems to have been subject to a particularly high rate of turnover. As usual, we have done our best to find exact dates when possible. When that is not possible, we list general dates. At present, we do not know who played Mrs. Peachum when Nancy Andrews left the role late in the winter of 1960 to appear in the short-lived Tiger Rag, after which she returned briefly to the role of Mrs. Peachum, only to soon leave again, probably for the national tour of Flower Drum Song, in which she replaced Juanita Hall. This is why at one point in our list of replacements Nancy Andrews is listed twice in succession with no one listed in between.
Marion Selee, the role understudy for most of the run, did a number of interim runs in the role.
