We have not been able to ascertain how many performances a week the production played, but it was not the standard eight. It was at least five but no more than seven.

The earliest review we can find, which was by Mel Gussow in The New York Times, appeared on December 10, 1976, but that does not necssarily indicate that the opening date was December 9. This was something of an informal production. Performances had started on November 24, and the reviews that appeared were published over the course of a couple of weeks.
