The tour had engagements at Dallas Summer Musicals in Dallas, TX, in Atlanta, GA, Kansas City, MO, and Miami Beach, FL. It closed in Miami Beach for an intended hiatus until fall when it was expected to open on Broadway then move on to an international tour (it was to have played 8 countries). It never re-opened.
The structure of the show closely matched that of the London production.
The tour used local children to play the role of Bonnie Blue. According to John-Ann Washington\'s blog, the casting director for the stop in Florida decided to cast her own daughter. This proved to be unusual, as her daughter was Hispanic and her daughter had a strong Spanish accent.
