In 1956, Leslie Caron starred in the London production of Anita Loos's nonmusical play Gigi, adapted from the same Colette novella. The production was produced by Donald Albery and directed by Peter Hall. Tony Britton played Gaston, Estelle Winwood played Alicia, and Ena Burrill played Mme. Alvarez. Esme Percy and Jessie Evans were also in the cast.
The play had been produced on Broadway in 1951, with Audrey Hepburn as Gigi.
