This was the premiere of what was originally called the "Opera House version."
During the first season, "Dear Boy" was in the production, but only the first verse (although it's heard complete on the recording made in 1985 and released in 1986). In later seasons, it was deleted altogether.
Song titles were listed in the playbill, but the characters who sang each song were not listed. We've transcribed it above as it appeared in the playbill for the first season.
The production was originally scheduled to play seven performances in repertory this season, with the final performance to be on November 2, 1982. Due to high demand for tickets, an eighth performance was scheduled for the evening of November 9, replacing the originally scheduled performance of La Bohème.
