The site is located down the street from the famed Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
Around the turn of the 20th century, the theatre began running vaudeville shows and remained on the bill until the mid-1920s. Soon after, it began big name jazz acts on stage, and motion pictures on screen.
The theatre closed and was converted into a bowling alley for a time. It was demolished later, date unknown.
The theatre was built by Oscar Hammerstein I.
