When the Roundabout Theatre Company took over the space in 1974, it was converted from a movie theatre. The Roundabout obtained a 10-year lease on the space. Previews for the first production there — All My Sons, starring Hugh Marlowe and Beatrice Straight — started on September 27, 1974. The production officially opened on October 28, 1974. After the Roundabout ceased producing there in 1984, the space was converted back into a movie theatre, or rather three movie theatres.
