Named for the Fox Theatre, a movie palace in downtown San Francisco that was demolished in July 1963. Architectural pieces of that venue were reused in the Little Fox.
Should not be confused with other similarly named theatres in the San Francisco Bay Area. There are Fox Theatres in Redwood City and in Oakland.
