The lyric is by Bernstein. It was written, naturally enough, for his Peter Pan score, but it wasn't written for the original Broadway production but for a post-Broadway tour in which the opera singer Lawrence Tibbett played Captain Hook. For reasons unknown reasons, it was never performed in the tour, or anywhere else until By Bernstein.
