This song is known today by the title "Loneliness of Eveing." Under that title, the song was used in the 1965 television production of Cinderella, and also in some later stage versions of Cinderella, including the 2013 Broadway version. During the pre-Broadway tryout of South Pacific, it was listed under two different titles. During the run in New Haven, it was listed in the program as "Will My Love Come Back to Me." During the Boston run that followed the New Haven run, it was listed as "Will My Love Come Home to Me?" In South Pacific, it was sung by Emile and Nellie in the second act, with the lyrics representing a letter he had written to her.
