Synopsis

A contemporary reimagining of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic tale: romantic entanglements, bureaucratic bluster, and opportunistic power plays collide in a tightly run community where lofty rules meet human foibles. Deceptions and hasty bargains mount as officials scramble to satisfy absurd mandates while lovers try to outwit them. Identities are clarified, alliances reshuffled, and order restored in brisk fashion, leaving satire in full view and the couples free to claim their futures.
