John Cousins, a small town "hick" with plenty of nerve, decides to give New York the advantage of his superior intellect. He leaves New Hampshire, and he is later followed to Broadway by his sweetheart, Mary Thompson. John has a lot of fun and many adventures in Greenwich Village. Mary succeeds in establishing herself in a cookie factory, after which she wins John away from the sirens and puts him in the cookie business.
