In postwar Paris, entertainer Michel Gérard crosses paths with ambitious performer Preston and the poised Miss Klemm, while socialites and professionals—Yvette, Hermia, Goldman, and others—stir the scene. Rehearsals, club turns, and backstage maneuvers spin into a web of attraction and rivalry. As partnerships shift, careers beckon, and loyalties are tested, romance finds its footing against a backdrop of Gershwin rhythms, where personal dreams and show business collide and, finally, harmonize.
