Based on the novel The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope

British song‑and‑dance man Richard Rassendyl travels to Ruritania for a royal wedding and discovers he’s the double of King Rudolph. When a power‑hungry general incapacitates the monarch, Rassendyl is recruited to masquerade as the king, a ruse complicated by his growing feelings for Princess Flavia and the interventions of the captivating Athena. Political plots, rescues, and narrow escapes culminate in the exposure of the conspirators and a restoration of rightful rule, with matters of the heart finally resolved.
