This version is very faithful to the 1939 film version, not only in the score but also in the dialogue. The screenplay for the film version is credited to Noel Langley, Florence Ryerson and Edgar Allan Woolf.
For a production to qualify under this heading it must either be the fully lisenced RSC adaptation (most major productions post-1987) or have a cast list that suggests that the MUNY adaptation was lisenced but thrown out in favor of a book closer to the MGM film (any production prior to 1987). If it has neither of these it qualifes as the Gabrielson version.
