One four-bar phrase in "Stop! What is This Mischief You're Doing" became the basis for "Soon" and music to the verse of "Hoping That Someday You'd Care" was used for the verse to "Soon" in the 1930 version.

Two sections of "Oh, This is Such a Lovely War" were dropped prior to the New York opening. One part sung by the Swiss Girls and a number for the Red, White and Blue Nurses.
