Based on Dream Girl by Elmer Rice

An imaginative antique-shop owner refuses to sell her cherished brownstone despite looming development pressure. Caught between urban progress and personal legacy, she escapes through comic daydreams that bring whimsy and romance to everyday struggles. With spirited choreography and heartfelt humor, the show celebrates tenacity, fantasy, and the fight to preserve both home and imagination.

Credited as an adaptation of the play Dream Girl by Elmer Rice, but little of the play except a basic idea was used in the musical.
