Inspired by events in the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Toured the country as a Bi-Centennial celebration following the Los Angeles production.

This show includes several instances of oratory taken from the speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr. These are usually spoken over a choral background. The most notable examples are the titled numbers 'I've Been to the Mountain Top' and 'I Have a Dream', but the thematic device occurs elsewhere, especially in the opening and closing numbers.
