In this modern update of the Rumplestiltskin story, a cartoonist threatens to kill off his mischievous creation. The character, however, springs to life—visible only to his creator. Rumple must charm him into keeping the comic strip alive. As reality and fantasy blur, their whimsical struggle unfolds in a quirky musical romp exploring creativity, loyalty, and the power of imagination.

There was to have been an original cast album but it was cancelled due to the short run of the show. The number assigned was Decca DL-9058. Decca did, however, issue pop singles.
