Based on a story by W. Somerset Maugham

A play based on the story by W. Somerset Maugham. The story was also the basis for the musical SADIE THOMPSON (q.v.), the 1932 film 'Rain', and the 1953 film 'Miss Sadie Thompson'.

The stage play contained one song with music by Fred Meinken and lyrics by Dave Ringle. Only the instrumental version was used, however. The song was performed via a record played on a phonograph in Sadie Thompson's bedroom at various points in the play.
