Our main song list for this show comes from the list in The Best Plays of 1972-1973. That list is at variance with the one on page 353 in David Hummel's book The Collector's Guide to the American Musical Theatre. The list in The Collector's Guide includes "And We Are In" and "I Miss My Man," but does not include "Oh, What a Siege That Was,""As I Choose," "A Cavalry Captain," and "You Out There." The song list in The Collector's Guide reflects the contents of a live recording of the production so "And We Are In" and "I Miss My Man" were clearly in the show at some point, but it may be that they were cut during previews as The Collector's Guide lists no date for the recording.

Alternatively, it is possible that the song list in Best Plays comes from previews. We have chosen to use the song list in Best Plays as our main song list in the absence of a list that can truly be regarded as the definitive opening night song list, but some uncertainty remains as to which song list, if either, reflects what was performed on opening night.
