Synopsis

In Metropolis, Superman faces Max Mencken, a scheming gossip columnist bent on ruining his reputation, while also thwarting the plans of a vengeful scientist. As Clark Kent, he struggles to win the affection of Lois Lane without revealing his secret identity. Between saving the city, fending off villains, and navigating love, Superman must balance heroics with humanity, proving that even the Man of Steel faces challenges of the heart as well as the battlefield.

Trivia & History

The show was scheduled for an Encores! mounting in the spring of 2002. But, as the first act concludes with the villain blowing up Metropolis's City Hall, it was cancelled (being planned so soon after the events of September 11, 2001).
