Based on the novel The World of Henry Orient by Nora Johnson

Two teenage girls in Manhattan become fascinated with an eccentric composer and decide to follow him around the city. Their harmless fun escalates when they spread a rumor that lands him in trouble, attracting police attention and sparking confusion. As events spiral, one girl learns that her mother has a personal connection to the composer, complicating their friendship. The girls must navigate the fallout from their actions, ultimately returning to the comfort of familiar friendships and youthful adventures.
