Lt. Jack Mason of the United States Coast Guard is convinced that the yacht owned by society hoyden Mrs Martha Trumbell is being used for "rumrunning". Of course, Jack's right, but Mrs. T. is innocent.

Her own Capt. Denny is doing it on the side with her knowing.

On the verge of being caught, Capt. Denny burns the yacht rather then let the illegal cargo fall into government hands.

Jack may not have retrieved the physical evidence needed for a conviction, but he does get to marry Mrs. Trumbell's pretty daughter, Mary,
