At a post-show discussion following a performance of the Musicals in Mufti productionLuther Henderson (who had helped reconstruct the score for that production) said that Billy Strayhorn wrote a good deal of the show's music.


In the "Legit Bits" column of the issue of Variety dated July 21, 1971, it was mentioned that Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey were being sought for leading roles in a revival of Beggar's Holiday. Producers Perry Watkins and Vincente Miniscalco planned a West Coast tryout starting in November. Nothing ever came of this.
