Trivia & History

This revue not only features the music of "Fats" Waller but also many of the songs he recorded by others and made hits. The show opens with a V-Disc recording by Waller which segues into the live version. This is exactly as performed in the show. The opening of "Handful of Keys" on the original Broadway cast recording is from a commercial "Fats" Waller recording but was not performed this way in the show.
