Musical Numbers Only
There is no list of musical numbers on the jacket or the record.
The jacket for the cast recording lists the entire original Off-Broadway cast, plus three other performers: Julie Kurnitz, David Tice and James Hilbrandt. Tice replaced Al Carmines during both the first Off-Broadway commercial run and the return engagement. Kurnitz was in the return engagement from the beginning. We have no evidence that Hilbrant was ever in the show, but perhaps he was a replacement in one of the two commercial runs or an general understudy.
Given the additional performers added for the recording and the fact that nowhere on the jacket or the record does it specify which performers sing which roles, we have decided not to list character names for the recording as we can't be sure whether roles were distributed somewhat differently on the recording than they were when the show opened Off-Broadway.
We can be confident that this recording was made during the first run of this commercial transfer rather than the return engagement as ths recording was listed as a recent release in the issue of Billboard dated March 23, 1968.
