Trivia & History
The short opening number, 'That Wonderful Melody' was usually not performed in revivals since the original production due to lyrics which would be offensive today. For the Sadler's Wells stage production, the word 'coon' in the line 'I'm weary of frantic syncopation jazz sensations played by a coon' was replaced by 'loon'. On the LP/CD version, the original lyrics are used.
