Trivia & History

In her biography, Rosalind Russell claimed that she did all of her own singing. This, of course, is not true. If you listen to the album you can plainly hear where her voice cuts out and Lisa Kirk's cuts in. Miss Russell does sing "Mr. Goldstone," and the less demanding parts of "Rose's Turn." 

For some time, Natalie Wood has been listed in various books as having been dubbed by Marni Nixon. Miss Wood did all of her own singing in this film.
