Notes

Jane Romano went on for Ethel Merman for approximately a week in August 1959 when a blood vessel in Merman's throat hemmorhaged. Romano subsituted for Merman again on Monday, February 20, 1961. Merman's daughter, living in Denver, had given birth on Saturday, February 18, and Merman flew to Denver to visit. She returned to the show on the February 21.
