First replacement Patsy O'Connor seems to have left under somewhat abrupt circumstances, being replaced in midweek by Lorna Lynn, who had understudied the role since the opening and played it several times. A report in the New York Times said, "Conflicting reasons for the change were given by a spokesman for the management and Miss O'Connor's aunt."
