Ms. Parker was the composer of "The Village of St Bernadette," a song that was recorded by Anne Shelton, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby and Jack Jones. For this song, she won the 1960  Ivor Novello Award for Best New Song (Music and Lyrics). She was member of the vocal quintet known as The Stargazers. As a member of that group, she performed at the Royal Variety Performance at the Victoria Palace in London on November 7, 1955.
