Although many sources, have given David Cassidy's place of birth as New York City, other sources have stated that he was born in Englewood, New Jersey. We believe the latter to be correct as that was the place of birth mentioned in a seven-page cover story on Cassidy in the issue of Rolling Stone dated May 11, 1972. As the story was presumably vetted by Cassidy or his agent or manager, we think that information is likely correct.
