Trivia & History

In April 1978, Gwen VerdonChita Rivera and Mary McCarty joined the tour in their original roles of Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly, and Matron "Mama" Morton, respectively, during the run at the Blackwell Theatre in Chicago. They remained in the tour during runs in Los Angeles and San Francisco (and perhaps in other cities as well).
