Trivia & History

Following a run at the Forrest in Philadelphia from June 30 through July 26, 1969, the production was supposed to move to a four-week run in Boston at the Shubert. The original production had played its tryout at the Colonial in Boston. It was reported that repeated ads for the Boston run of the tour had produced no advance, and so the Boston stand was canceled, and the tour played its last performances in Philadelphia after 19 months on the road.
