There were drastic cast changes from the first edition of ZIEGFELD FOLLIES OF 1936 to the second (September) edition. As a result, songs sung by one star in the first were sung by another in the second and parts in the skits were also shuffled. It has also not been established that all songs made the transition. 'Midnight Blue' and 'You Don't Love Right' were used only in the second edition. It is not known whether these songs were written especially for this edition or whether they had been cut from the first. Songs labelled as unused were all written for the first edition.
