Based on the novel Saratoga Trunk by Edna Ferber

In post-Civil War America, a determined Creole socialite returns to New Orleans seeking retribution for her mother’s exile at the hands of a wealthy family. Disguised as aristocracy, she plots revenge through a calculated marriage, only for love to complicate her plans. As schemes unravel amidst Southern grandeur, she learns that respectability and the heart’s true desires often require more than status—or revenge.
