Trivia & History

When Ben Vereen was recording his first album, "Off Stage", he approached Stephen Schwartz to write lyrics for the dance portion of "Glory". This music had gained popularity through a commercial for the show which used this dance segment. The dance segment with lyrics, entitled "The Good Time Ladies Rag", was never used in the show, nor is it a cut song, as had been previously thought.
