Synopsis

On the California coast, marine biologist Doc lives a quiet life among the docks until he meets Suzy, a young drifter seeking refuge. As she tries to find her place in the quirky, close-knit waterfront community, their connection deepens despite differences in background and outlook. With friends and neighbors adding humor, wisdom, and occasional meddling, the pair navigates misunderstandings, personal pride, and the challenge of letting love into lives shaped by independence and survival.

Trivia & History

In an October 1988 Associated Press article about the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization, it was reported that the organization's president, Ted Chapin, had an idea for a television production of Pipe Dream that would star the Muppets, with Miss Piggy playing the role created by Helen Traubel (Fauna).
